The Making Work Pay PA Coalition is the product of all our work over the past years on the Cliff Effect Initiative. Women’s Way and the Bucks County Women’s Advocacy Coalition have partnered to launch a statewide effort of like-minded organizations to support legislative and administrative actions which will urge the amelioration of poverty in the Commonwealth. To that end we have developed some recommendations which we hope will frame the discussions (see www.makingworkpaypa.org), and are launching a listening tour to hear from, among others, persons who have stories to tell about their eligible experiences with the governmental system of public programs. The first “stop” on the tour with be Friday, April 17, 2015 from 10AM -12noon in Bethlehem at the Northampton Community College. Registration opens Monday, March 30 at www.makingworkpaypa.org. A second “stop” will be in Pittsburgh the first week of May. Please join with us as we work together to make work pay for Pennsylvanians.
