For 20 years, Barbara Price was Executive Director of the New Jersey Coalition for Battered Women, a statewide coalition of 28 domestic violence programs. She was responsible for financial management, development and grant writing. She has extensive public speaking experience at conferences, before the legislature, on television, and radio and represented the Coalition on state government committees and task forces. Over the years, she was able to secure significant changes in how government systems responded to victims of domestic violence and recognition of the Coalition as the leading organization in New Jersey for domestic violence resources and expertise.
Barbara has also been active in the American Association of University Women for 40 years, serving in various board positions at both the state and local level. She is currently President of the Levittown-Lower Bucks Branch of AAUW and Bylaws Chair of AAUW-PA. Long an advocate for women’s rights, Barbara has done presentations on At Ease with ERA and marched in Washington for the Equal Rights Amendment.
Barbara has also served on the Bucks County Commissioners Advisory Council for Women and on the Pennsylvania Commission for Women. She is currently Vice Chair of the BCWAC Finance Committee and serves on the Legislative and GoTV Committees.
